So you wanted to watch Youtube 4K videos in your Android device, but to your surprise your Android device doesn’t support 4K videos.
Well there is a trick and if you follow what I am going to share in this tutorial, you will be to watch Youtube 4K videos in your Non-4K Android device.
Youtube Launched 4K video support in 2014, however it was available to only few devices at that time as many device doesn’t support 4K video due to the hardware limitation.
But as the technology get its advancement, lots and lots of mobile phone manufacturer started supporting 4K video in their Android device.
As of 2019, there are still many Android users unable to watch 4K videos in their device. However, many developers came forward and created several apps that plays Youtube 4K videos in Non-4k Android Device.
In this post, I am going to share 2 different methods to watch Youtube 4k Videos.

Method 1: Using BuildProp editor (Root Required)
In this method, we are going to use an app which is available on Google Play Store. The app is called BuildProp editor.

Step 1: First you need to download and Install BuildProp Editor in your device from the above link.
Step 2: Once the app has been installed in your Android device, its time to open the app and start doing some minute editing work.
Step 3: Now click on the 3 dots at the top right corner.
Step 4: Now you will see “New” option, Tap on that and you see a pop-up “New System Property”
Step 5: Now in the Pop-Up box you will have to enter some code. Check below:
And Click “Save”
Once you click on save, close the BuildProp Editor app and YouTube app from switcher, And reopen YouTube App. Search for any 4K video and click on Quality. You will able too see 4K resolution now. Enjoy watching 4K videos in your Android Device.
Method 2: Using Youtube Client NewPipe (No Root Required)
If your device is not rooted and you still want to enjoy 4k Videos in YouTube then you can do it by installing third party YouTube Client which is called NewPipe.
NewPipe is a open-source media player app that allows to watch 4K videos in any Android device. NewPipe is created by a german Android developer Christian Schabesberger.
How to Watch 4K videos in NewPipe
Step 1: First download NewPipe APK file from below link. Since this app is against the terms of Play Store policy, it is not available in Google Play store.

Step 2: Now open the APK file and Tap on Install
Step 3: Once the installation is completed, now open the app.
Step 4: Now click on the three dots in the top right corner and click on settings.
Step 5: After that, select Video & Audio option.
Step 6: Now select Default resolution and choose “Best Quality”
Now go to the search bar and search for any 4K video and you will be able to play the 4k video in your Non-4k Android Device.
